Project Background

The Cirrus development at 161 Emu Bank in Belconnen comprises of 226 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments across two towers, one tower of twenty-four levels and the second tower of eighteen levels, constructed within the Westfield Belconnen area of the ACT.

Conceived by Per Se Developments and Redgen Mathieson architects, the two waterfront towers embody a shared philosophy and commitment to honest, purposeful and timeless design.

Cirrus marks a new chapter for elevated design in Belconnen and is an architectural translation of modernist principles in their most pure form.

Cirrus is unique in that all residences have been designed to face north, offering breathtaking views of Lake Ginninderra and its lush surroundings.

To create seamless spaces, each apartment has a generous balcony that integrates with its main living area and harmonises with the abundant natural light provided by the north facing aspect of the building.

Satu Bumi’s Involvement

Satu Bumi was engaged directly by Per Se Construction to manufacture and supply eighty standard square and rectangle GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) planters for the fifth-floor public terrace of the building.

These planters ranged in sizes up to 2,000 mm long and 2,000 mm wide.

Although the planter shapes were relatively standard, the sizes of some of them were large and showcased Satu Bumi’s ability to manufacture GRC planters in significant quantities and significant sizes to suit the design intent of a discerning customer at very competitive pricing.

All the planters were manufactured with high commercial grade GRC using Satu Bumi's CityScape technology in a natural grey concrete smooth finish.
