The development of customised “GRC street furniture solutions” has a couple of essential stages to ensure both the customer and Satu Bumi both have the same understanding of what is expected to be delivered before any commitments are made on either side. The Preliminary Costing stage is a fee no-obligation service from Satu Bumi in the design stage of a project that will provide the customer with a reasonably indicative estimate of the cost of Satu Bumi delivering a GRC street furniture solution. The Final Costing stage is also a free no-obligation service which provides the customer with a fixed price for the delivery of a GRC street furniture solution that can be used as the basis for purchasing negotiations.

Preliminary Costing

Satu Bumi has several standardised GRC bench and GRC planter-bench designs in its GRC Street Furniture Range. However, a high proportion of Satu Bumi’s street furniture customers require customised versions of the products in this standardised range and/or completely different customised “GRC street furniture solutions” for their commercial projects.

At no charge to the customer, Satu Bumi will work through the initial stages of clarifying the customer’s design requirements to the point where a reasonable estimate of the pricing for the project can be established. This clarification stage may include the provision of conceptual drawings, preliminary design drawings, and preliminary estimate of the cost to provide the required solution.

Product Design

Upon request, representatives of Satu Bumi’s Business Development and Estimating Teams will work with its customers to establish an initial understanding of the customer’s street furniture design requirements. Then Satu Bumi’s Product Engineering Team will be engaged to prepare preliminary design drawings and conceptual renders for approval by the customer. At this stage, Satu Bumi will prepare a final pricing quotation for the design. Detailed shop drawings will be prepared upon acceptance of Satu Bumi’s final pricing by the customer.

Packaging Design

Upon customer approval of Satu Bumi’s detail shop drawings for custom street furniture projects, Satu Bumi’s Product Development and Logistics Teams prepare the packaging designs required to ensure that each of the custom precast elements of an order are adequately protected during shipping and transport.
