Project Background

Rouse Hill Town Centre is a shopping centre in the suburb of Rouse Hill in the Hills District of Sydney, New South Wales, located approximately 45km north-west of the Sydney CBD in one of Australia's strongest growth markets.

The centre is part of a larger development proposal for the Rouse Hill Regional Centre.

Rouse Hill Town Centre is owned by The CPT Group and combines the traditional principles and streetscape of a contemporary market town centre with the latest shopping, dining and lifestyle choices incorporating 251 tenancies including two discount department stores, two supermarkets and a cinema/entertainment precinct.

Satu Bumi’s Involvement

Satu Bumi was engaged by Hunter Mason to manufacture and deliver a range of curved edge custom GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) planters for the street scape of the Rouse Hill Town Centre.

There were dozens of individual planters with more than a dozen different custom shapes involved in the project and many of them were specifically designed to nestle into each other.

All the planters were manufactured with high commercial grade GRC using Satu Bumi's CityScape technology with a natural concrete grey finish.

The installation of the planters was managed by Hunter Mason, a company with offices in Sydney and Melbourne and an excellent reputation for fit outs and refurbishments.

This project highlighted the competence of Satu Bumi in manufacturing planters with curved edges and custom rounded shapes to a high level of precision for a high-profile commercial street scape project.

Therefore, Satu Bumi was proud of its involvement in terms of the manufacture and supply of the GRC planters for the project.
